Honolulu Waldorf School seeks a Summer Fun Early Childhood Assistant. We are looking for a person who loves children and is able to be attentive and nurturing. The key responsibilities for this position include: assisting and supporting the Lead Teacher with lessons, games, and activities, preparing snacks, supervising and caring for children, taking initiative in engaging the children in activities and play that are healthy and appropriate, and maintaining a clean, relaxed, friendly, and safe environment. Additional interests, skills, and initiative in various areas such as drawing, singing, movement, gardening, and drama are also desired.
The position requires:
- Experience developing and implementing curriculum for children in Early Childhood
- The ability to manage the health and safety of a group of 18 children with the help of one assistant
- The ability to work closely with colleagues
- Presence, patience, and a positive problem-solving attitude
- A 40-hour work week – Temporary Full-Time Employment
- Work authorization: United States (required)
