The Lead teacher is responsible for developing and maintaining a positive rapport with your assistant, the children, and the families registered in the program.
The Lead teacher will arrive at school promptly to open the program area, check in with the director as needed, and prepare the day’s activities. Attendance is also the responsibility of the Lead teacher. Keeping sign-in and out sheets up to the minute, and monitoring the number of children in your care is essential. The Lead teacher should be working with the assistant to provide constant appropriate supervision of the group.
