Thank you for your interest in Honolulu Waldorf School

We are one of over one thousand Waldorf schools and initiatives worldwide and one of three in Hawai‘i. The first Waldorf School opened in 1919 in Stuttgart, Germany, and the philosophy has since spread around the globe.

The Waldorf curriculum is designed to serve students from the Early Childhood years through Grade 8 and is dedicated to supporting the natural development of the child using fine and practical arts, movement, and a rigorous academic program starting in the grades. Although the school year begins in August, we welcome new students into our classes throughout the year, as space permits.

An application needs to be received by the admissions office prior to scheduling an interview and student visit. Application materials can be emailed to admissions@honoluluwaldorf.org

Our Admissions Process:

Early Childhood (Preschool thru Kindergarten) – Grade 1:
1. The complete application is received
2. Application is reviewed by faculty
3. A parent interview is scheduled

Grades 2 – 8:
1. The complete application is received
2. Application is reviewed by faculty
3. A parent interview and applicant assessment is scheduled
4. A 1-3 Day School visit is scheduled whenever possible
