STUDENT ABSENCES OR TARDINESS


ATTENDANCE, PUNCTUALITY, TARDINESS AND ABSENCES

Parents are required to notify the school in the event that their child will be absent from school, or will need to leave school before dismissal time. Please telephone or email the office and email the class teacher and/or high school sponsor to make these arrangements.

EARLY CHILDHOOD

Early childhood children should be in school by 7:55 a.m. If circle or a birthday celebration has begun, please wait outside the classroom with your child until it is over (about 15 minutes.)

Program Hours:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday Hours: 7:55am - 2:45pm
Wednesday Hours: 7:55am - 2:00pm

After School Care is available for an additional fee.


LOWER AND MIDDLE SCHOOL (GRADES 1-8)

Any child who is not ready to enter the classroom at 7:55 a.m. will be deemed tardy. Tardiness compromises the rhythm of the entire class as well as the learning of the individual tardy student. Every tardy child must report to the office, obtain a late slip, and explain his/her reason for the lateness in order to be permitted to enter the classroom.

HIGH SCHOOL (GRADES 9-12)

High School students who are ill, tardy, or who have a family emergency must be excused by a telephone call by a parent or guardian to the High School Office before 7:50 a.m. All students that are not at school by 7:55 a.m. must report to the office to receive a tardy slip.

Tuesday, Thursday Hours: 7:55am - 3:15pm
