Admission Policy: HWS aims to accept a wide range of students into the school who desire the values and benefits of a Waldorf education. We welcome and include families from diverse social, economic, and cultural backgrounds. The school accepts children in good physical, social, emotional, and mental health.

Late and mid-year applications are accepted and processed.

Non-Discrimination Statement: HWS admits students of any race, sex, color, national and ethnic origin, religion, or sexual orientation to the school, and provides to each student all of the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at HWS. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other category protected under federal or Hawai‘i law in the administration of its educational policies, employment policies, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, athletic and other HWS-administered program.

Special Needs Children: The education offered at Honolulu Waldorf School is based on the Waldorf curriculum. While this curriculum accommodates many learning modalities and styles, it is not intended to accommodate children who have special learning needs. The content, methods, and creativity may provide positive experiences and benefit some children with special needs; however, HWS has neither the services nor the trained personnel required to meet the needs of the child with extensive special learning needs.
