The Summer Program

The Summer at Waldorf program offers fun, hands-on, developmentally appropriate activities under the guidance of trained and enthusiastic staff. Children experience circus arts, art, language, music, water play and games in addition to time for free, imaginative play. Summer program is structured into two-week sessions, so families can register for the session(s) that work with their schedule and availability.

Download the information and registration forms on the left side of this page. Registration deadline is April 15, 2014. Enrollment is on a first-paid, first-served basis.

Session Dates/Times:

Session I - June 16-27, 2014
Session II – July 7-18, 2014

All programs run from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm. Aftercare is available until 5:30 pm.

Grades Program for Grade 1 through age 12:

Sessions I and II feature Circus Arts, Performance Arts, and Games. In these exciting and challenging sessions the children will have instruction in acrobatics, juggling, tight rope, stilt walking, unicycle with many other activities included, which will help to develop the children’s balance, coordination, confidence and teamwork skills. Participation in Session I is not required to register for Session II. Each session will culminate in a closing performance for friends and family.

Summer Program Director, Bryan McGriff has been teaching Games and Movement in Seattle, WA for over eight years now. He is a big fan of simple games for younger children and bringing their imagination to bear upon their understanding of the instructions and strategies involved. He has worked with First Graders all the way up through High School students and adults. He is a devoted advocate of circus arts and the strengths it brings to children’s movement skills and group dynamics. He has also coached various sports such as cross-country running, basketball, and volleyball.


 


Fees:


Grades Program - $490 per session

* Family discount is 10% for the second sibling, 15% for any additional siblings. Family discounts apply to the lower tuition.

Aftercare (2:30 – 5:30 pm) - $150 per session

Excursions for Grades Program will be billed separately.
